Filling Out Your FAFSA

As an NACCAS-accredited school, we participate in the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan programs. Federal financial aid is available to those who qualify, and you can find out if you qualify by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). You must complete all required documentation before you can enroll as a financial aid student in any of our programs.

When filling out the FAFSA® forms, make sure to choose Elite Cosmetology, Barber & Spa Academy as the school you want to send the FAFSA® form to. Once you submit your FAFSA® form, it will take approximately 3-5 days for us to be able to see it in our system.

If you need help filling out your FAFSA® application, or if you have already filled it out and have questions about your next steps, please contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.

What Are Federal Direct Loans?

Direct loans are federal student loans with a fixed lifetime interest rate. When you receive a loan, you are borrowing money, and you will need to pay it back with interest.

There are two main types of federal student loans:

More Ways to Help Pay for Tuition

Here are some more ways students at our Washington beauty school could make your tuition more affordable.

People for People

Our school accepts funding from People for People and the WIOA Adult Training Program, which provides comprehensive employment and training services that lead to career pathways, employment, and financial self-sufficiency. There is an application process to follow if you are interested in this source of funding.

WorkSource

We accept funding from WorkSource, which offers assistance to people in Washington who are seeking jobs.

Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

Some students may be able to find funding from Washington’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation that could help pay for their beauty school training.

Scholarships

Finding and applying for scholarships related to your chosen program could help you pay for tuition. Scholarships typically do not need to be repaid. Some companies and foundations are looking for students to help financially, so it is well worth your time to apply for a scholarship. You could start your scholarship research by looking at Beauty Changes Lives.

Student Loans

Even if you do not qualify for a federal loan, you may be able to get a student loan from a local bank or other financial institution. The bank will likely need to know where you are planning to attend school and how many hours you will be attending.
