The Federal Pell Grant is available to undergraduate students who have demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA®. This includes funding that does not need to be paid back upon completion of the school program. For the 2025–26 award year, the maximum Federal Pell Grant is $7,395. What you actually qualify for will depend on certain factors, such as your Student Aid Index (SAI), your program’s tuition cost, your enrollment status (full-time or part-time), and the length of your academic year.
Direct loans are federal student loans with a fixed lifetime interest rate. When you receive a loan, you are borrowing money, and you will need to pay it back with interest.
There are two main types of federal student loans:
A Federal Parent PLUS loan is for the parents of a child enrolling in an eligible undergraduate school. It could help the parents pay for their child’s school expenses, and it is based on financial need. Repayment begins immediately after the loan is fully disbursed. This type of loan could be combined with other types of financial aid. Applicants for the PLUS loan are subject to a credit check.
Here are some more ways students at our Washington beauty school could make your tuition more affordable.
Our school accepts funding from People for People and the WIOA Adult Training Program, which provides comprehensive employment and training services that lead to career pathways, employment, and financial self-sufficiency. There is an application process to follow if you are interested in this source of funding.
We accept funding from WorkSource, which offers assistance to people in Washington who are seeking jobs.
Some students may be able to find funding from Washington’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation that could help pay for their beauty school training.
Finding and applying for scholarships related to your chosen program could help you pay for tuition. Scholarships typically do not need to be repaid. Some companies and foundations are looking for students to help financially, so it is well worth your time to apply for a scholarship. You could start your scholarship research by looking at Beauty Changes Lives.
Even if you do not qualify for a federal loan, you may be able to get a student loan from a local bank or other financial institution. The bank will likely need to know where you are planning to attend school and how many hours you will be attending.
Each program at our beauty school is different. Contact our admissions team to learn more about specific program costs and schedules.
Yes, if you are a veteran and you have VA education benefits, you can use them at our school. However, VA beneficiaries must complete all their training in-person, which means they do not qualify for our distance learning program options.
